Welcome to the Sixteenth IWAC Conference
WAC for Transitions: The Next 50 Years
The Sixteenth International Writing Across the Curriculum Conference was held at Clemson University June 14-17, 2023.023
According to Marty Townsend, IWAC is a biennial conference for scholars from the United States and abroad to gather together and continue conversations around how writing and language impact student learning, with a strong emphasis on second-language learners.
Our call for proposals closed October 31, 2022. Notifications of acceptance were sent out in November 2022.
Registration for IWAC 2023 closed April 14, 2023. The conference offered both in-person and virtual attendance options.
Competitive grants were made available for faculty members in part-time and contingent positions as well as for graduate and undergraduate students. Applications for these grants closed October 31, 2022.
We are excited we had the opportunity to gather once again as a community to consider the past, present and future of the WAC movement.
