What is Gothic Literature? 

The Gothic genre is characterized by strong emotion, terror, horror, death, romance, the macabre and picturesque scenery. 

Who is she?

Shelley was the daughter of Mary Wollstonecroft, British writer and feminist, and William Godwin. She was an English novelist who wrote one of the most influential books in the Western canon. 

What is Shelley known for? 

She is the author of the Gothic novel “Frankenstein, or, the Modern Prometheus.” She was married to Percy Shelley and greatly influenced his work. She made important stands on feminism and abolitionism.
