Previous School Books

In Spring 2016, the Pearce Center Interns began working with local elementary schools to help promote literacy, especially through the summer months when many students go long periods without reading. To encourage young students to keep reading, the interns help classes write and publish their very own book. The interns work with students to help write and illustrate a story before assembling the book and giving it to the students at a celebration. The project has seen continual success and is an intern favorite.
